Conover, 82, retired Ulysses farmer, who has lived alone since the death of his wife, Mrs. Anna Conover on May 7, 1949, was found dead Sunday at his home near the District No. 15 school house. Dr. John W. Burton of Mecklenburg said death was due to coronary thrombosis on Saturday, July 23,1949. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Tucker of Trumbull's Corners, Mrs. Florence Murray of Burdett and Mrs. Gladys Willis ofEnfield Center; a son Clifford Conover of Trumansburg; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services wereheld at the Stewart-Rhode Funeral Home with the Rev. Ford Crippen of Dundee,formerly of Mecklenburg and Enfield Larger Parish officiating. Interment wasin Grove Cemetery.'

'The Trumansburg, Free Press, Trumansburg, NY, March 15, 1989: 'Bernice M. Tucker, 91, of 1229 Trumansburg, Road, died March 6, 1989 at Tompkins Community Hospital. She had lived in the Enfield and Newfield area for most of her life. She was a member of the Enfield Baptist Church, the Enfield Valley Grange and the NewfieldSenior Citizens. She as an ardent gardener, sharing her flowers with friendsand family. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Leon H Tucker of Ithaca; one son Donald Tucker of Newfield; six daughters, Charlotte Ballard of Jacksonville, Doris Willett of Endwell, Evelyn Volbrecht of Brooktondale, Juanita Wojtanik of Newfield, Carole Stickler of Ithaca, and Shirley Boyd of Trumansburg; one sister, Gladys Willis of Enfield; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several neices and nephews. Services were March 9 in the Jacksonville Community Church. The Rev. Erie J. Miller, Jr. and the Rev. Thomas Lange officiated. '

Leon H Tucker (369447) was born on April 7, 1895. He died on December 10, 1990 at age 95. He was buried Grove Cemetery, Trumansburg, Tompkins County, New York.

'The Trumansburg Free Press',July 9, 1986: TRUMANSBURG - Florence Murray, 85, a resident of Lakeside Nursing Home, Ithaca, for the past six years, died July 3, 1986 at the Tompkins Community Hospital. Mrs. Murray was a rural school teacher at District 13 andSwamp College Schools. While residing at Lakeside she helped organize and played in the Lakeside Kitchen Band. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth, Robert and Donald Murray, all of Trumansburg, and a daughter Kathleen Stevens of Trumansburg; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Willis of Enfield Center and Mrs. Bernice Tucker of Newfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held Monday at Jacksonville Methodist Church with the Rev. Dale Winter officiating. Burial was in Grove Cemetery, Trumansburg. There were no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Trumansburg Fire Department Ambulance Fund. The Perkins Funeral Home, Dryden, was in charge of arrangements.'

Conover, 75, of 14 ProspectSt. died Friday, Feb. 4, 1977 in Lakeside Nursing Home after a long illness.Born in the Town of Ulysses, son of the late Elihue and Anna Durling Conover, he had owned and operated a welding and small engine repair business in Trumansburg for many years. He was a life member of the Trumansburg Fish and Game Club and was a former member of the Trumansburg Fire Dept. Surviving arehis widow, Mrs. Laura Whitaker Conover; three sons, Roland C., Ernest E. andLaVern F., all of Trumansburg; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Tucker of Trumbulls Corners and Mrs. Gladys Willis of Enfield; several nieces and nephews. Services were held at 2 p.m. in the Rhode-Covert Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence W. Mitchell of the Enfield United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery in the spring.'

Conover, 78, of 14 Prospect St., died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 1979, at home. She was born in the Town of Enfield, Feb. 11, 1901, daughter of the late Paul and Martha Loveland Whitaker. Mrs. Conover was a member of the Enfield Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, RONALD [Roland] C. Conover, Ernest E. Conover and LaVern F. Conover, all of Trumansburg; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral and committal services were held at Rhode-Covert Funeral Home in Trumansburg. Burial was in Enfield Cemetery. '
