    Sarah A. Cook, dau. of Jesse Cook & Ruth McMillan was born July 9, 1844, (a birthright Friend) Cook's Mill, on Possum Creek, 1 mi. N. of Bendersville, Adams Co., Pa., eleven miles north of Gettysburg. Sarah A. was the mother of Albert Cook Myers (1873-1960), noted Quaker author and historian. Sarah A. and her older sister Elmira Jane Cook met and heard Pres. Lincoln at Gettysburg, Nov. 19, 1863.
