properies formerly owned by Croxden Abbey which were then sold on
to John Broxolme and John Bellowe. I think this was
possibly in Ellastone village as the water mill that is mentioned
is still there and that Ellastone was considered to be in Caldon
in 1545 and before. … “Caldon, county Stafford,
and lands there in the tenure of Robert Copestake, …. James
Copestake and his wife Agnes and son John ….”
