In the peerage of the United Kingdom. Thomas Stow(e) of North Wheatley, Nottinghamshire, had issue a son, William Stow, born 1686, died 1724/5, married Elizabeth Hopkins (daughter of Robert Hopkins of Tresswell). They had issue a William Stow, born 1715, buried 3 September 1754, married Elizabeth. Thier son was George Stow of Sutton Ashfield, christened 11 January 1740, died 1773, married 23 August 1767 Elizabeth Wilberfoss (died 6 May 1782, daughter of John Wilberfoss of Gainsborough and Elizabeth Philipson). They had a son, George Stow, born 19 August 1768, died 21 May 1794, married 22 July 1792 to Ann Winter (daugher of Humphrey Winter of Coton House, Warwickshire). They had a daughter that died young and a son, George Stow, born posthumously 15 August 1794, died 24 October 1845, married February 1820 to Sarah Bartlett (daughter of William Bartlett of Brentford, and Ann Carey). They had issue as follows:
