June 21, 1940 Clara F. Enright, Burlington, Vermont page 2

Now, Mr. John Cosgriff, your father-in-law, had a cousin who used to live in
South Burlington. His oldest son, Thomas, fought in the Civil War, and when
he came home, he married my mother's oldest sister, Hannah. He had a streak of
genius in him, but drink got him. Uncle Tom moved to Malden, Massachusetts.
He had four children: Mary, James, Margaret (Mattie, as they called her) and
Clara. Mary and James are both dead. Mary never married. Mattie married a
Cape Cod Yankee, Charles Freeman. He looked as if he was brought up on a
cranberry. He is now dead.

(Thomas V. Cosgriff moved to Malden, Mass)
