She was born 1798 in Tennessee, and died June 18, 1854 in Humphreys County, Tennessee.

According to The Goodspeed History, of Humphreys County, Tennessee, published in 1886, Eaton Jones Cooley "...followed the vocation of farming in his younger days, at which he was very successful. In 1832 he began preaching in the Methodist Episcopal Church and continued this up to the time of his death..."
