This is the Knox Co. probate for the Curd Cox will (administrative

settlement-Nov. Term 1859) &  is where I found mention of a man named Charles

CURD.  This is the individual I was wondering about, as a possible relative

to old Curd.  Charles Curd shows up in the 1826 Knox Co. Tax List (Capt.

Graves Co. ) w/200 acres & 3 slaves.

BTW, There are no decimals in this old document.  Mostly Curd's sons &

son-in-laws ?

                         November Term 1859

I think the tax list that shows Curd in 1804 is listing just his WP (War

Pension?); that apparently  was taxable in some way ?.  There is not any

listing of # acres at that time.

A book in the McClung Collection (Knox Co. Tax Lists - 1806-1828) shows the

following:

The 1812 Knox Co. Tax Lists show Curd Cox - Yarnelle's Co., 400 acres

    1827 Knox Co. Tax List      "          "      400  acres - 3 slaves

    1828   "        "      "      "         "     400 acres -  3 slaves

Incidentally, Moses Cox is listed as paying tax on 685 acres in 1827 and 400

acres in 1828.
