WILL OF TOLIVER M. COX
In the
name of God, Amen, I Toliver M. Cox, of the district of Edgefield, and state of
South Caroline considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being weak
in body, but of Sound and perfect memory and mind do make and publish this my
last Will and Testament, in manner and form following Viz:
1st. I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved
wife Honor Cox, the whole and every part of my estate, consisting of the
following negroes, viz. July, Tom, Reuben, Commonly Called Tinken Jess, Henson,
Mary Bowens, Mary Bacon, Candis, Sally, Sary and Viney, Likewise the whole of
my house hold and kitchen furniture stock of every kind, horses Cattle and hogs,
and every other article that I may be pofsefsed of at my death forever.
2nd. I hereby nominate and appoint my dearly
beloved wife Honor Cox, sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament. And
I do hereby revoke and consider as null and voide every other Will and
Testament before made by me, and ratifying and declaring this, and no other to
be my last will and Testament.

witnefs where of I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal, this twenty first day of
September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty
five. Signed, Sealed, published
declared by the Said Toliver M. Cox to be his last will and Testament in the
presence of
