This years Cox Family Reunion was held August 3, 2002 at Pine Valley, Utah, and a record attendance of 180 family members were present. A Huge "Thank You" goes out to LaRene Watts and Tamara and Jeff Cox who did such a excellent job organizing everything. And another Huge "Thank You" to all the others who helped out with games, food, and preparation of this Great Event.
The Theme of the 2002 Reunion was "Hawaiian Luau".

Things Talked About: LaRene Watts announced she was retiring from the Reunion organization committee, and asked for volunteers to take charge for the 2004 Reunion. Alleyene Cox Kappelman, Elaine Cox Semones, Wendy Cox Eliason, and Dalinda Cox Jolley have bravely and enthusiastically accepted the challenge to take over the reigns for next time. LaRene left some Large shoes to fill with this assignment, so we wish Good Luck to Alleyene, Elaine, Wendy, and Dalinda. I'm sure they will do Great!

Games Played: Water Balloon Toss, Hula-Hoop, Fishing Pond, The Men's Hula Dance contest, The Treasure hunt, The M&M's guessing game, and my favorite: The Big Kahuna (The suck-in-your-gut and push-it-out game). .

Foods Eaten: Smoked Pork casserole, Chicken casserole, Pasta Salads, A Great Pineapple drink.

Harold Cox won the "Honorable Mention" award for this year's Reunion and was given a nice framed certificate. Harold also was the oldest family member to attend the reunion. (See photo album) |
