Peter Cozine was baptized on September 3, 1744 at Dutch Reformed Church, Readington, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Peter Cozine was the son of Dominee Cornelius Cozine and Antie Staats. Peter Cozine married Willempte Wyckoff, daughter of Martin Wyckoff and Sarah Newell, on January 26, 1769 at Readington, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Peter Cozine died on October 26, 1779 at Conewago, York now Adams County, Pennsylvania, at age 35.
Peter Cozine was also known as Peter Cozyn.
Had two children.
After Cornellus death she re married Samuel Demurce.

In the Sept. term of Mercer Circuit Court 1835, a petition in Chancery with Abraham V. Brewer, guardian for the aforesaid Brewer children, was petitioner and Hannah Cozine, John Comingore and Sarah his wife, late Sarah Cozine, and John C. Cozine were defendants.
It was ordered and decreed that the tract of land belonging to John Cozine, Sr. be sold. Said land is located on Salt R. in Mercer Co., contains 324 acres, was a part of Henry Wilson's preemption and was the same land on which John Sr. lived and died. Land bound by Briscoe's Settlement - Wilson - Alexander Vanarsdall - Cornelius C. Vanarsdall - Azariah Davis' Survey O, Mary Bergen.
Comingore was the highest bidder and purchased the property for $4961.25

Garret Cozine�s WillI Garret Cozine of the County of Hendricks and State of Indiana, being weak of body, but sound of mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby rendering and making void all former wills by me at anytime hereto for made. First I direct that my body be decently interned and that my funeral expenses be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life, and as to such worldly estate as it has pleased God to entrust me with, i dispose of the same in the following manner, towit: I direct first that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible out of the first moneys that shall come into the hands of my executor from any portion of my estate either real of personal. I also direct that a fair valuation or appraisement be made by two judicious neighbors of all my estate both real and personal and immediately after such appraisement or valuation, I direct that my executor sell the same at public sale upon such credits as my executor may think most advisable, and the moneys arising therefrom ( after legal expenses have been paid) be divided among my several children in the following order towit:
1st - I give and bequeath to the legal heirs of my beloved son Cornelius Cozine fifty dollars to be equally divided amongst them that are living. 2nd - I give and bequeath to my beloved son John Cozine two hundred dollars. 3rd - I give and bequeath to my beloved son Peter Cozine two hundred and fifty dollars. 4th - I give and bequeath to my beloved son George Cozine all the remainder that may be left after the above amounts have been paid as directed. And further I do hereby make and ordain my worthy friend Amos S Wills my executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I Garret Cozine the testator have here onto set my hand and seal this the twenty fourth day of November AD eighteen hundred and forty eight. Where as heretofore, towit: on or about the first day of October in the year eighteen hundred and forty nine (1849) one Gerret Cozine being seized in fee simple of the following described said estate situated in the county of Hendricks and State of Indiana, Towit: the East half of the SouthWest quarter of Section Four in Township Fourteen North Range one West, departed this life after having made and published his last will and testament, by which said last will and testament the said executor among other things ordered and directed that a fair evaluation or appraisement be made by two judicious neighbors of all his estate both real and personal and that immediately after such appraisement or valuation his executor should sell the same at public sale upon such credits, as such executor may think most adviseable and that said testator did in and by said last will and testament ordain and appoint one Amos S. Wills executor of his said last will and testament and afterwards, towit: on the ninth day of October in the year aforesaid, said last will and testament was duly proven before the Clerk of the Probate Court of Hendricks County according to the statute in such case made and provided and on the nineteenth day of October in the year aforesaid letters, testamentory were by the Clerk of said Probate Court duly issued to said Amos S. Wills. And said Amos S. Wills then and there took upon himself the execution of said last will and testament. And on the twentith day of October in the year aforesaid, said executor caused said premises to be appraised in accordance with the provisions of said last will and testament. The same being appraised at the sum of nine hundred dollars ($900). And whereas afterwards, towit:on the fifteenth day of December in the year aforesaid executor after advertising such sale in the same manner as by law is provided in cases of sales of real estate by administrators, did on the premises expose said tract of land to sale at public auction and then and there struck off and sold the same to one Samuel Jessup for the sum and price of nine hundred and twelve dollars ($912), which was the highest and best price bid or offered there for and more than the full appraised value thereof, and said sale was afterwards, towit: at the February term of said Hendircks Probate Court in the year eighteen hundred forty ___ (1850?) duly approved and confirmed by said court, said land having been sold at said sale on a credit of twelve months and eighteen months in equal instalments. And whereas afterwards towit: at the August term of said Probate Court in the year eighteen hundred and fifty one (1851) said executor filed in open court a report showing that the full amount of said purchase money had been paid to him by said Samuel Jessup and therefor said court order and directed that said executor convey said premises to said Samuel Jessup by a proper conveyance and report the same into said court, all of which will more fully appear and at large appear reference being had to the records of said Probate Court.
Therefore this indenture witnesseth that said Amos S. Wills executor as aforesaid for and in consideration of said sum of nine hundred and twelve dollars ($912) to him in hand paid by the said Samuel Jessup, the receipt whereof he hereby acknowledge, as well as to carry into effect the order of the Probate Court in that behalf hath granted bargined and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargin and sell onto the said Samuel Jessup, his heirs and assigns forever the aforesaid tract of land situated in said County of Hendricks and State of Indiana. Towit: The East half of the SouthWest quarter of Section Four in Township Fourteen North Range one West to have and to hold the premises hereby sold and conveyed together with all and singular the privilages and appurtenances threonto belonging or in any way appurtaining onto the said Samuel Jessup,his heirs and assigns to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever as fully and amply to all intents and purposes as the said Garret Cozine had and held the same at the time of his decease.
