(Daughter of Robert Elrod)

This data taken from Missouri Historical Review, Volume 20-1925, pages 135 to 127.  "On the 25th of 
this month they were to remove the body of Elizabeth Elrod Jones from Fayette to Chilicothe.  The 
stone showed she died 4-19-1751, In 1836, from Lincoln Co KY, Major M Johnson and wife, whose maiden 
name was Elizabeth Elrod Jones, they came with Mrs Johnsons mother, Elizabeth Elrod Jones, then 
nearly 85 years old.  She was buried in family graveyard (Johnson) Fayette Missouri.  
In May 1867 Mr Johnson sold the farm but he retained the 1/4 acre of the cemetery.  Deed Bk. 11, 
page 216, Howard Co MO.  Mr. John T Graves had cemetery fenced.  
Three tombstones were there:  Elizabeth Jones wife of John Jones, b. 4-15-1751 died 4-15-1842.  
Sallie, wife of Dr. C. Wallings b 2-21-1819 died 2-17-1850; 
Sicily, daughter of Dr. C. Wallings b 3-24-1844 died 5-9-1850.

John T Graves, grandson of Elizabeth Elrod Jones, moved her body to Chilicothe from Fayette MO.  
Her husband, John Jones b 10-1742 died 5-31-1824, lived at Shallow Ford, Yadkin River NC.  Went to 
Kentucky.  Daughter of Robert Elrod and he the son of Teter Elrod, immigrant.  From Casey Co KY to 
Morgan or Moniteau Co MO came many descendants.    
This article mentioned S.H. ELrod, ex-governor of South Dakota.
Two sisters of Elizabeth Elrod Jones also went to Missouri.  Mary 'Polly married Thomas J Douthit, 
and Phoebe married Richard or Jonathan Huff.  The oldest son of Elizabeth Elrod Jones and husband 
was John Jones Jr, and he died 1835, Casey Co KY.  He preached in Christian Church.  
I have it that Susan Jones married Richard Huff, and her sister, Pheobe married Jonathan Huff.
