Meridith Curlee Will of The State of Alabama } To the Hon A.A. McMillan Judge of the Coosa County } Probate of said County ------- The petition of James Curlee respectfully represents unto your honor That the late Meridith Curlee who was an inhabitant of this County at the time of his death departed this life on the 12th day of May 1862 in the city of Montgomery in this State, Leaving assets in this County also Leaving a last Will & Testament duly Signed and published by him and attested by T.J. Holman and W.G. Buckhalter who reside in this County ---- Your petiti- oner further States that the next of kin of Said deceased are William H. Curlee, Allen Curlee, Elisha Curlee, Robert Curlee, Amy Curlee & Elizabeth [Curlee] Lake wife of Thomas Lake all of whom are of Lawfull age and reside in said County and State Except Allen Curlee who resides in Shelby County in Said State. In consideration of _____ _____ of which your petitioner prays that a day may be Set for hearing the matter of Said Petitioner that said Subpoena may be Issued to bring in Said Subscrib- ing witnesses to testify on Such appointed day in proof of Such Will & that due notice of this application may be given to Said next of kin before mentioned & that such other proceedings may be had in the premesis as may be requiste and proper to effect the due Probate and of Said Will according to Law And as in duty bound your Petitioner will ever Pray Sworn to & Subscribed before me }James [his mark] Curlee This 27th day of May 1862 A.
