JOHN BAIN SENIOR

John Bain married Ann Munro who was born about 1791 in Ireland. They had 3 children John born about 1821 in Port Glasgow, Betsey born about 1821 in Newburgh, Fife and James born about 1830 in Newburgh.

In 1841, Ann is living with John, Betsey and James in Clinton Street. Ann's occupation is LYW (linen yarn weaver), John is a linen HLW (hand loom weaver), Betsey is a linen HLW (hand loom weaver).

James married Agnes Downie. She was born Abt. 1833. They had 4 children all born in Dundee, Betsy born 1859, James born 1860, Helen born 1862 and Ann born 1865.

JOHN BAIN
John married Mary Birrell in Aug 1844 in Abdie, Fife. Mary was the daughter of David Birrell and Margaret McKay. She was born Abt. 1823 in Abdie, Fife.
They had 10 children all born in Abdie.  Margaret born 1845, James born1847, David born 1849, William born 1851, Annie born 21 Nov 1852 (see below) Betsy Bell born 1854, John born 1855, Jane Playfair born 1858, Helen born 1861, Jessie born 1865.

ANNIE BAIN
Annie was born in 1852 in Grange of Lindores, Scotland. She married Johnston Crawford 1873 in Dundee. Johnston died in 1900. Johnston and Ann were divorced and Ann married again in 1904 to Charles Band at the United Free Church in Dundee. Charles was the son of James Band and Mary Carlow. He was born in 1841 in St.Andrews.
Annie died in 1941, Broughty Ferry, Dundee.
