1913 Christmas Bell Family Reunion This picture was taken at the Christmas Bell Reunion 1913 near Tyler, Smith County, Texas of all the children and grandchildren of John Allen Bell and Martha Selina (Shelby) Bell, seated in center of lower row. They were married August 14th, 1873. There had been no death in the family up to this time, a period of 41 years, four months and eleven days.

Shelby Chapel Dedication of the Texas State Historical Marker commemorating Shelby Chapel & Cemetery was held on Sunday, June 27, 1999. Shelby Chapel
is 3 miles northeast of Athens, Henderson County, Texas on FM 1616 known as Ash road. Dedication of marker was by Hon. Clyde Alexander, member Texas House of Representatives. Here is some of the Bell Clan at Shelby Chapel. That's me kneeling in the front middle - white shirt with the sleeves rolled up. My great-grandfather, Professor Thomas Henry Bell and Post Oak Singing Class. The organ that Tom is sitting in front of was found and restored by my grandfather, Ernest Perry Bell, and is in my father's library along with a collection of Tom's books and music. My Grandfather, Ernest Perry Bell's SAR certificate and my grandmother, Nona Clark Bell's DAR certificate.
