Creeden Genealogy - Matson Family

Mary Ann Matson (1851-1925) in 1919, wife of Timothy Creeden

Mary was the daughter of Asa Matson and Dortha/Dolly Clevenger. She was born on 21 Apr 1851 in Clinton County, Ohio, married Timothy Creeden on 10 Dec 1868, and died on 8 Sep 1925 in Celina, Ohio. Mary and Timothy had 10 children. Mary ran a boarding house in Celina, Ohio after Timothy's death.

Asa's parents were John Matson and Nancy Ann Clevenger. Dortha's parents were Aden Clevenger and Sarah Beadles. The Matson and Clevenger families lived in Frederick County, VA before settling in Clinton County, Ohio. My information on Mary's parents and grandparents comes from the book Clevenger Pioneers & Descendants by George R. Griffiths. I haven't been able to find additional information on John Matson so far.
