I have searched the English Probate record of Wills and Administrations for the period 1858 to 2001 and have, in most cases the brief details listed in the indexes.
I have purchased copies of a number of wills that I considered to be of interest and I intend to eventually put both details from the index plus scanned copies of those wills on the site; subject to copyright and a self imposed restriction to infringing personal privacy.
There is a particular interest in the will of JOHN CRIPPEN, the Elder from 1864 with the mention of his son HENRY, who on 13th November 1861, when the will was signed, resided in Smithfield, Ohio in America. The two page will can be viewed here, as MS Word documents –
