ELEVENTH GENERATION

1424. Edward GASKOYNE⁽⁵³⁾⁽⁵⁵⁾ was born in 1603 in England. He died about 1690 in Salem, Mass.. possibly born in Gascony, France; Huguenot refugee to this country; possibly English or Dutch. A shipwright. "Edward Gascoigne..." gives references to shipbuilding activities.

According "Records of 1st Church" Edward was a member of the church 3 3rd Month (May?) 1643

Not sure where spelling Gaskoyne comes from. "Edward Gascoigne" lists some etymology. He was married to Sarah PARKER about 1638.

1425. Sarah PARKER⁽⁵³⁾⁽⁵⁵⁾ died about 1691 in Salem, Mass.. Parker?, only referred to in "Edward Gascoinge ..." and "Descendants of..." Children were:

i. Preserved GASKOYNE was christened on 7 Aug 1639 in 1st Congregational, Salem, Mass..⁽¹³¹⁾ christened in 6th month

Baptised as Preferred, according to "Records of 1st church" She died after 1711.
712 ii. Samuel GASKILL.
iii. Danyell GASKOYNE⁽⁵⁵⁾⁽⁵⁵⁾ was christened on 10 Oct 1640 in 1st Congregational, Salem, Mass.. christened 8th month
iv. Sara GASKOYNE⁽⁵³⁾⁽⁵⁵⁾ was christened on 15 May 1643 in 1st Congregational, Salem, Mass.. christened 3 month
v. Hanna GASKOYNE was christened on 1 Feb 1646 in 1st Congregational, Salem, Mass..⁽⁵³⁾ 1st month
vi. Edward GASKOYNE⁽⁵³⁾ was christened on 30 Mar 1648 in 1st Congregational, Salem, Mass.. 2nd month He died before 18 Dec 1717 in Salem, Mass..
