Jewella Cemetery
Greenwood Rd.
(between Mission and Smith just west of Jewella)
Shreveport, LA (Caddo Parish)
This page is under construction and was last updated June 28, 2006
This is a small cemetery. I took 374 pictures in about 2 hours
with a digital camera on May 7, 2003.. I doubt that there are
more than 1,000 tombstones here. I do have pictures of all of the
tombstones listed below. I have uploaded the transcriptions of
all the photos I have so far. If you see a listing which doesn't
have a picture yet you can email me (Sharon Spaulding) at [email protected]
and I will upload it for you or send you a digital copy if you prefer.
Please put Cemetery or Jewella in the subject line so I don't
accidentally delete it. This is not a complete listing and some
of the stones are tipped over so that I can't tell what they say.
Please let me know of any errors in my transcription. If you have
any additions or corrections or know of unmarked graves in this
cemetery, please let me know. Thank you.

Views of the cemetery:
I was standing near one entrance when I took this picture.
You can see Greenwood Road straight ahead.
This was looking to the
right. I took picture of most of the tombstones on this side.
Unfortunately I ran out of battery power before I could finish
this side. I'll try to get back there soon.
. I have only taken pictures of about 30-40% of the tombstones in
this cemetery so if you feel someone is missing, I probably haven't
gotten to them yet. I have pictures of everything listed here so far.
If you would like to see a picture before I get it uploaded, send
me an email and I will put it up for you. [email protected]
