I have traced my Kolb line back to Dielman Tilman Kolb who married Angenes Schumacher.  Dielman was born about 1645/46 in Palatinate, Germany.  Dielman and Angenes Kolb were my 8th Great Grandparents. Kolb is also spelt Culp or Kulp.

Johannes Schumacher Kolb b. 1681/82 was the son of Dielman Tilman Kolb.  He migrated to the United States through Pennsylvania and died in South Carolina.

Richard Jones Kolb b. 1774 was my 4th Great Grandfather and a descendant of Johannes Kolb.  Richard was born in South Carolina migrated to Indiana in about 1813.  He married Mehitabel 'Hetta' Tyner born 1774 to Harrison and Nancy (Adair) Tyner.  Richard and Mehitabel settled in Fayette County, Indiana and owned 140 acres in the Posey Twp of Fayette County. Richard was buried in the Bentonville Christen Church Cemetery (see below).

It is said that Mehitabel (Tyner) Kolb was buried in the Lick Creek Cemetery (see below).

Margaret Kolb was born in Georgia to Richard Jones and Mehitabel (Tyner) Kolb. Margaret married Davis Rich in 1829.  They had 11 children.

Lick Creek Cemetery, near Harrisburg, Harrison Township, Fayette County, Indiana (On 200W, South of 200N and North of Substation Rd.) I visited this cemetery in 2005 and was unable to find Mehitabel (Tyner) Kolb's tombstone or her mother's Nancy Adair.  Most of the Tyner stones their were not legible. I was there when it had just turned dark so I may have not just found it.  The Tyner's are buried in the far left side of the cemetery in an old section.  Wish I lived close enough to go back and get new pictures.
