Moore's Seminole Roll and Land Guide

transcribed by Hanna Anderson

The Moore's Seminole Roll and Land Guide 1898 is a 28-page map that shows the land allotments for the Seminole Indians and Freedmen as decided by the Dawes Act. The book was published in 1915 by J. Reed Moore of Wewoka, OK with plats by E. Hastain of Muskogee, OK.

Joy Fisher has transcribed the written part of the book and it can be found on the Seminole County Archives. To locate the land allotment of a specific person, go to the Seminole County Archives and scroll down until you come to Moore's Seminole Roll and Land Guide. Look for the page number and section of the land allotment for that person. Then click on the appropriate page below.

I am working on transcribing the 28 pages. Please check back for periodic updates. The latest additions are pages 4, 11, 19, 25.
