It would be very desirable to have a tax assessment list for the same year as the census. Unfortunately, the 1800 tax assessment could not be found in the Commissioners' office. There were 110 men and women on the tax assessment list for 1799, above. The 1800 census showed 613 inhabitants in Hanover township, as follows:
