picture of the opening of the Haig Memorial Hall, see under Garnant pictures.

Card 2

 

 

1916 Xmas card from David Price (Mrs Chart's cousin) from aboard HMS Repulse

HMS Repulse, a 26,500-ton Renown class battlecruiser, was built at Clydebank, Scotland.
Completed in August 1916, she joined the Grand Fleet following post-trials modifications and operated in the North Sea for the remainder of World War I.

I think the words at the bottom say '8th Field Survey Coy RE No 529' (Royal Engineers ?)
