GWR Station, Brynamman

There were two Railway Stations/Lines in Brynamman.
The first, the Midland, opened in 1864 (originally the Swansea Vale Railway  from Ystalyfera, taken over by the Midland in 1874), and the second, the Great Western (GWR), opened in 1886.  (The History of Brynamman, Enoch Rees, 1883/1896).
The GWR  line ran down to Pantyffynon and on to Llanelly.
