--- 2nd Generation ---

2. Charles Thomsen2 WOLFRAM was born 28 April 1921 and died 12 November 2005.

3. Mary Almira2 HALTEMAN is still living.

--- 3rd Generation ---

4. Charles Henry3 WOLFRAM was born on 18 May 1899 in Williamstown, Monroe Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey.1 At his birth, he was known as Henry Gravelle WOLFRAM.2 He was, by trade, a carpenter. He was by necessarily, a driver.3 He married Johanna THOMSEN, daughter of Carl Valdemar THOMSEN and Johanne Frederikke ZERAKITSKY, on 27 May 1920 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He married Kathryn Adele WELLS, daughter of Harry E. WELLS and Mary H. GILKERSON, on 18 May 1976 in Ocean City, Cape May County, New Jersey. They were married by Judge Augustus S. Goetz on the groom's 77th birthday. The witnesses were Edythe D. Beaddoels and Frances E. Goetz. The bride was the widow of William D. Martin and Lewis D. Ranney.4 He died on 25 January 1987 in Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, Pinellas, Florida, at age 87 years, 8 months and 7 days.5

5. Johanna3 THOMSEN was born, one of triplets, on 10 August 1893 at 1937 Cayuga Street, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.6 She was also listed as being born, incorrectly, in August 1894 in Pennsylvania. Her age in the census was recorded correctly as 21 years, and the age of 21 was subtracted from 1915 to give a date of 1884, forgetting that she had not yet celebrated her birthday that year.7 She also went by the name of Hannah. She was an ironer, employed by the laundry in April 1910.8 She married Charles Henry WOLFRAM, son of Charles Edward WOLFRAM and Johanna VOLBERT, on 27 May 1920 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. She died at 9:30 a.m on 7 July 1975 in Mease Hospital, Dunedin, Pinellas County, Florida, at age 81 years, 10 months and 27 days.9 She was also reported to have died, incorrectly, in Clearwater, Pinellas County, Florida.10

6. William S.3 HALTEMAN was born on 19 June 1880 at home, East Vincent Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.11 He was also known as William Schultz HALTEMAN. However, he had, as far as he knew, no middle name. He used the initial S from his earliest years.12
William S. HALTEMAN was by trade, a carpenter.13 He was by necessity, a driver, a deliveryman, for the laundry operated by his wife's brother-in-law.14 He married Melvina RAYSOR, daughter of William RAYSOR and Rachel (--?--), on 28 June 1902 at the parsonage of St. Vincent Reformed Church, which was very probably at 270 Chestnut Street, 15 Spring City, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The Rev. Howard Long conducted the ceremony, which was witnessed by John P. SPRING of Norristown, as best man, and Anna E. GRESH, also of Norristown, as bridesmaid.16 He married Ida Gregory WOODS, daughter of William WOODS and Mary E. BISSETT, on 28 September 1921 at 124 Second Street, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey.17 He died at 2 a.m on 5 July 1959 in Mayfair Nursing Home, Somers Point, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 79 years and 16 days.18 He was buried on 8 July 1959 in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey.19

7. Ida Gregory3 WOODS was born on 21 January 1890 in N. Vineland, Landis Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey.20 She married William S. HALTEMAN, son of Moses S. HALTEMAN and Almira SCHULTZ, on 28 September 1921 at 124 Second Street, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey.21 She died at 1:30 p.m on 15 May 1954 in Northfield, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 64 years, 3 months and 24 days.22 She was buried on 18 May 1954 in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey.23

--- 4th Generation ---

8. Charles Edward4 WOLFRAM was born on 24 May 1877 in Berlin, Germany.24 He was also listed as being born, probably incorrectly, in 1874 in Berlin, Germany. It was said that he was two years old when he came to this country, and that he immigrated with his parents in 1876. The dates are wrong. The 1920 census gives various dates, including the 1876 date.25 Conflicting evidence states that he was born in 1873 in Germany.26 He married Johanna VOLBERT, daughter of Nicolaus VOLBERT and Barbara (--?--), in 1898.27 On 21 June 1900 his name was also recorded as Chas WOLFFRAN being incorrectly recorded by the census enumerator.28 In 1915, his surname was incorrectly given as Charles WOOLFFRAM. It appeared, as an error by the enumerator John J. Sloan, in the state census.29 He was a laborer.30 He was a farmer, according to the 1920 Census.31 He died at 11:10 p.m on 3 September 1943 in Fairview Sanatorium, New Lisbon, Pemberton Township, Burlington County, New Jersey.32 He was buried on 6 September 1943 in St. Peter's Cemetery, Riverside Township, Burlington County, New Jersey.33 On 30 April 1910 his name was also recorded as Charles WOLFFRAM. The census enumerator, Samuel W. Thomas, rendered his surname as it was at his birth.34

9. Johanna4 VOLBERT was also rendered as Joanna FOLBERT Also as FULBERT. It was an incorrect misspelling of the phonenecally given surname.35 Johanna was born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, on 25 December 1858. She always celebrated her birthday on Christmas and every record that gives a date gives December 25th as the date or December as the month of birth; likewise, every document lists Pennsylvania as the state of birth, and her death certificate states Philadelphia. Various ages and different years have been given, this being the one changable "fact." The 1870 census records her as 12-years-old; she is not recorded as immigrating with her parents when they arrived 6 December 1858.36 Conflicting evidence states that Johanna was born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, on various different dates. The month and day was always December 25th when a month or day was specified, the year changed according to the record. Her death certificate states 1874, while various censuses give ages that calculate to 1875, according to the 1915 New Jersey state census, or 1868 according to the 1900 federal census, where the month and year are given. Her gravestone (I've seen it several times) reads 1875. All these dates are wrong, however, as it appears she was enumerated in the 1870 census as a 12-year-old, and also as a 17-year-old, although the age of 17 might well be an error due to the handwritting. And any date after 1869 is clearly impossible, as her mother died then.37 Conflicting evidence states that she was born on 25 December 1852 in Pennsylvania. These records, however, are incorrect. The census record was misread, as shown by a second enumeration, and various other dates have been given.38 She married Charles Edward WOLFRAM, son of Henry Gerald WOLFFRAM and Wilhelmina ALBERT, in 1898.39 She died at 6:45 a.m on 28 July 1944 in the County Almshouse, Northfield, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 85 years, 7 months and 3 days.40 She was buried on 1 August 1944 in St. Peter's Cemetery, Riverside Township, Burlington County, New Jersey.41

10. Carl Valdemar4 THOMSEN was also known as Carl W. THOMSEN. He was born on 14 December 1861 in Fredericia, Elbo herrad, Vejlo amt., Denmark.42 Conflicting evidence erroneously states that Carl was born on 14 December 1861 in Copenhagen, Copenhagen (Kbenhaven), Denmark.43 He married Johanne Frederikke ZERAKITSKY, daughter of Jrgen ZERAKITZKY and Johanne LAURIDSEN, on 7 June 1889 in the church, Skjern, Blling, Ringkbing, Denmark. 44 He was a cabinet maker.45 In June 1915, Carl was also recorded, in the census, as Carroll THOMPSEN.46 He died at 12:30 a.m on 26 December 1945 at 17 North Wyoming Avenue, Ventnor, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 84 years and 12 days.47 He was buried on 29 December 1945 in section M, lot 687, Greenmount Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.48

11. Johanne Frederikke4 ZERAKITSKY was born on 19 May 1866 at home49 in Ensig, Skjern sogn, Blling, Ringkbing, Denmark.50 Johanne Frederikke ZERAKITSKY was named for her elder sister Johanne Frederikke ZERAKITZKY. The elder Johanne died four months before the birth of her younger sister. It was a custom to name younger children after deceased older siblings. (see also to see an image of her christening record). She married Carl Valdemar THOMSEN, son of Carsten THOMSEN and Henriette Catherine HARDER, on 7 June 1889 in the church at Skjern. 51 She was buried on 29 October 1958 in Greenmount Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.52 On 9 July 1975, she was also recorded incorrectly on her daughter Johanna's death certificate as Johanna SIRSINSKI.53

12. Moses S.4 HALTEMAN was born on 6 June 1842 in West Vincent Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.54 He married Almira SCHULTZ, daughter of Jesse SCHULTZ and Catherine GODSHALK, between 10 April 1866 and 21 April 1867. The date was probably 1867, and almost certainly after July 1866.55 He was a farmer.56 He died at 12:05 a.m on 23 December 1920 in Franconia Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, at age 78 years, 6 months and 17 days. The place of his death, according to his death certificate, is Franconica Township, Montgomery County. According to the funeral memorial card, and the diary of his son William, he died in Souderton. Since he died in 1920, he could not have died in both places. Souderton was incorperated in 1897, with minor changes in the border made in 1917. He was a resident of the Mennonite Home; it is known that many places in the township have postal addresses in Souderton. If the Home had a mailing address in Souderton, while within the borders of Franconia Township, this would explain the disparity.57 He was buried on 27 December 1920 in St. Vincent Reformed Cemetery, in East Vincent Township, near Kimberton, Chester County, Pennsylvania.58 In 1880, his name was also wrongly recorded as Moses HULDEMAN. The census enumerator recorded the name incorrectly.59

13. Almira4 SCHULTZ was born on 19 June 1843 in Skippack Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.60 Her name is spelled Elmira on both the 1850 Census and on her son Warren's death certificate.61 She married Moses S. HALTEMAN, son of Christian HALTEMAN and Deborah B. STAUFFER, between 10 April 1866 and 21 April 1867. The date was probably 1867, and almost certainly after July 1866.62 She died at 10:55 p.m on 7 November 1915 in East Vincent Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, at age 72 years, 4 months and 19 days.63 She was buried on 11 November 1915 in St. Vincent Reformed Cemetery, in East Vincent Township, near Kimberton, Chester County, Pennsylvania.64

14. William4 WOODS was born on 16 August 1856 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.65 He was also listed as being born on 15 August 1857 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He married Mary E. BISSETT, daughter of John Imray BISSETT and Hannah Ann COPES, in 1881.66 He was by profession, an engineer.67 He died at 11:25 p.m on 21 May 1915 in City Hospital, Atlantic City, Atlantic County, New Jersey.68 He was buried on 25 May 1915 in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey.69

15. Mary E.4 BISSETT was born on 11 July 1861 at 223 Federal Street, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Both she and her twin sister Martha were delivered by E. S. RICKARDS M.D.70 She married William WOODS, son of Robert WOOD and Elizabeth HALL, in 1881.71 She died on 4 September 1937 at 15 South Fourth Street, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 76 years, 1 month and 24 days.72 She was buried on 7 September 1937 in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey.73

No records of a possible remarriage or death can be found previous to the end of 1909. The last record of her was in 1903 living in Skjern, and there is no reason to believe she moved thereafter. I have not yet seen the kirkeboger for 1910 to 1917. 44. Peter Christian Julius6 ZERAKITSKY was born on 9 July 1795 in rhus, Halse herred, rhus amt, Denmark.173 Conflicting evidence states that he was born circa 1783. That record is wrong. His baptismal record is conclusive proof for July 1795, and he is recorded as six years old in the 1801 census. The death record states that he was 49-years-old; that age would make him older than his wife, which is probably why it was given.174 He was also known as Julius SERACHITSCHY.175 He was a carpenter in 1814.176 He married Ane Marie JRGENSDATTER on 16 November 1814 in rhus cathedral, rhus.177 He was a laborer in 1832.178 He died on 6 August 1832 in the charitable institution of rhus, at age 37 years and 28 days. He was a small landowner, a farmer, making a living from his own land in 1845.188 He died on 25 June 1859 in Skjern, Blling, Ringkbing, Denmark, at age 64 years. There were two Christian Laurendsens residing in Skjern. This Christian, my ancestor, was 66 years old at death, giving a date of birth in 1792 or 1793; and he was a resident of Landemans-Mark, where Johanne, the daughter of my ancestor Christian, was living with her husband Jrgen.189 He was buried on 1 July 1859 in the church cemetery in Skjern.190

Jacob FUNK and Mary SHELLY, in 1811 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.197 He and Fannie FUNK were also reported, incorrectly, to have married in 1815 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. This is from the I.G.I.
