18. Margaret Rose4 Windsor (H.R.H. Prince Albert Fredrick Arthur George3 Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, George Frederick Ernest Albert2 Hanover, Albert Edward1 Wettin) was born Tayside, Forfarshire, Scotland 21 August 1930.(186) Margaret died 9 February 2002 at King Edward VII Hospital, London, Middlesex, England, at 71 years of age.(187) She suffered a stroke the day before at her home in Kensington Palace; she suffered cardic problems as a result from the stroke and was taken to the hospital. She died at 6:30 a.m. Greenwich time. Her ashes were interred 9 April 2002 in the George VI chapel, St. George's Chapel, Windsor, Berkshire, England.(188) She was buried next to her parents at her mother's burial.

She married Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones at Westminister Abbey, London, Middlesex, England, 6 May 1960. Philip Mountbatten Duke of Edinburgh gave her in marriage.(189) Antony was born in London, Middlesex, England on 7 March 1930. Antony is the son of Ronald Owen Lloyd Armstrong-Jones and Anne Messel. His engagement to Margaret Rose Windsor was announced 26 February 1960.(190) Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones was created the Earl of Snowdon, Viscount Linley of Nymans by Elizabeth II 6 October 1960.(191) At 31 years of age Antony became the father of David Albert Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley London, Middlesex, England, 3 November 1961.(192) At 34 years of age Antony became the father of Lady Sarah Frances Elizabeth Armstrong-Jones London, Middlesex, England, 1 May 1964.(193) Antony was separated from his wife, Margaret Rose Windsor, March 1976.(194) Antony was divorced from Margaret Rose Windsor in London, Middlesex, England on 24 May 1978.(195) The decree was made absolute on July 5th.(196)

At 49 years of age Antony became the father of Frances Armstrong-Jones 17 July 1979.(197) At 68 years of age Antony became the father of Jasper Armstrong-Jones 30 April 1998.(198) Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones was created the Baron Armstrong-Jones of Nymans by Elizabeth II 16 November 1999. He was created a life peer at 3 p.m. This was done so he could continue to sit in the House of Peers following the enactment of The House of Lords Act 1999

Antony was divorced from Lucy Mary Lindsay-Hogg in September 2000.(199)

She was christened into the Church of England by Dr. Cosmo Lang at the Chapel Royal, Buckingham Palace, London, Middlesex, England, on 30 October 1930.(200) Her engagement to Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones was announced 26 February 1960.(201) At 31 years of age Margaret became the mother of David Albert Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley London, Middlesex, England, 3 November 1961.(202) At 33 years of age Margaret became the mother of Lady Sarah Frances Elizabeth Armstrong-Jones London, Middlesex, England, 1 May 1964.(203) Margaret became Helen Marina Lucy Windsor's godmother at her christening Windsor, Berkshire, England, 6 June 1964.(204) Margaret became Marina Victoria Alexandra Ogilvy's godmother at her christening at the Chapel Royal, St. James Palace, London, Middlesex, England, on 9 November 1966.(205) Margaret was separated from her husband, Antony, in March 1976.(206) Margaret was divorced from Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones in London, Middlesex, England, on 24 May 1978.(207) The decree was made absolute on July 5th.(208)

Her funeral, a private ceremonial royal, was held, according to Church of England rites, in St. George's Chapel, Windsor, Berkshire, England, on 15 February 2002.(209) She was cremated at Slough creatorium, Slough, Berkshire, on 16 February 2002.(210)
