19. George Henry Hubert⁴ Lascelles (Victoria Alexandra Alice Mary³ Wipple, George Frederick Ernest Albert² Hanover, Albert Edward¹ Wettin) was born London, Middlesex, England 7 February 1923.⁽²¹¹⁾

He married Mary Donata Nanetta Pauline Gustava Erwina Wilhelmina Stein London, Middlesex, England, 29 September 1949.⁽²¹²⁾ Marion was born Vienna, Austria 18 October 1926.⁽²¹³⁾ Marion is the daughter of Erwin Stein and Sofie Bachmann. At 24 years of age Marion became the mother of David Henry George Lascelles London, Middlesex, England, 21 October 1950.⁽²¹⁴⁾ At 26 years of age Marion became the mother of James Edward Lascelles London, Middlesex, England, 4 October 1953.⁽²¹⁵⁾ At 28 years of age Marion became the mother of Robert Jeremy Lascelles London, Middlesex, England, 14 February 1955.⁽²¹⁶⁾ Marion was divorced from George Henry Hubert Lascelles 1966.⁽²¹⁷⁾ He married Patricia Elizabeth Tuckwell in a civil service in New Canaan, Connecticut, on 31 July 1967.⁽²¹⁸⁾ Bambi was born in Melbourne, Australia on 24 November 1926.⁽²¹⁹⁾ At 37 years of age Bambi became the mother of Mark Hubert Lascelles London, Middlesex, England, 5 July 1964.⁽²²⁰⁾

He was christened into the Church of England by Dr. Cosmo Lang, archbishop of York, at St. Mary's Church, Goldesborough, near Knaresborough, Yorkshire, on 11 March 1923.⁽²²¹⁾ His grandfather, the 5th Earl of Harewood, also stood as a godfather, with Major the Honorable Edward Lascelles standing proxy. Also Queen Alexandra was a godmother, but absent from the ceremony, with the Countess of Harewood standing proxy.

He was director of the Edinburgh International Festival, the managing director of Sadler's Wells Opera and the English National Opera as well as the administor of the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden. He was also the editor of the magazine Opera.⁽²²⁸⁾
