Jody's biological mother Angeline Nancy Turpen died six months after his birth. The cause of her death is not known to me. My grandmother, Juanita Chloe Austin, reported to me that Mary Jane Coughron was Jody's mother. Therefore, William Bryant Austin must have married Mary Jane Coughron after the death of his first wife.
