Funeral Services for Cora Nelson

Cora Bell Elma Nelson (12 September 1896 - 14 July 1981)

Funeral services for Mrs. Christ (Cora Bell Elma) Nelson, will be Friday, July 17, at 2 p.m. in the Bittner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Nelson died July 14 at a local nursing home. She was born Sept. 12, 1896 to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Phfly at Centerville and lived in the Centerville area until her marriage to Christ Nelson Nov. 17, 1914 at Yankton. They spent most of their married years farming in the Ethan area.

Survivors include seven children, Lawrence F., Mitchell; Anthony (Tony), Inglewood, Calif.; Fred L., Klamath Falls, Ore; Mrs. Clarence (Ann) Cross, Magnolia, Minn.; Nels C. and LeRoy L, Ethan; and Mrs. Floyd (Marie) Harris ["Patricia May Lyman"'s mother], Renton, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Art Neiland, Yankton; 24 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1955, her parents, two sisters, a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter and a great-grandson.
