Commodore Milton Collier (1879-1938)

Commodore Milton Collier was born September 1879 in Waco, McLennan County, Texas to Commodore Perry Collier and Sarah Ann Lovit Clark. Commodore Milton married Martha Keene Adams in Waco, Texas in 1900. Keene was born in Kerens, Navarro County, Texas to Thomas Edward Adams and Caroline Carrie Cherry. Keene had one son, Robert, in a previous marriage. Four sons were born to Commodore Milton and Keene: Claude Cherry, Raymond, Fayette, and Milton. Their son Claude had the middle name Cherry after his grandmother's maiden name. He named one of his sons Claude Cherry Jr. Claude Junior named his daughter Cherry.

Commodore Milton died October 23, 1938 in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas. Keene died June 20, 1954. They are both buried at Greenleaf Cemetery, Hwy. 377, Brownwood, Texas. The cemetery plot is in the northwest corner near the fence.
