Pope, Savage & Gozzaldi report the death of Robert Daniell and agree on the same date. Some have misinterpreted, this entry to mean that Robert had been childless prior to the marriage of him to Reana, e.g. Michael Mc Giffert�s book, God�s Plot, Puritan Spirituality in Thomas Shepard�s Cambridge.
This analysis makes it clear that both Pope Savage knew through earlier reports that the 5 children mentioned in the will were from Robert�s marriage to Elizabeth. Gozzaldi reports on 4 of the 5 living children at the time of Robert�s death.
