Name forms
Delacy, de Lacy, Lacey, Laci, Lacie, Lacy, Lasci, Lasie, Lassy de LACY (de LACIE), two ancient English baronial families,
LACY of Meath, and
LACY of Pontefract, which is our line.
These two lines are almost certainly related,
and both seem to have come from Lasey, or Lassy,
in the Canton of Conde'-sur-Moireau, Vire,
Normandy with William I at the Conquest or shortly afterward.
