Founder of the giant American breakfast cereal empire,
"Kellogg's of Battle Creek", he was for many years earlier in the shadow of his eccentric
and flamboyant elder brother, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg.
In the early days, he actually personally signed each box of cereal
so his customers could be sure they were getting the genuine
article and not one his many imitators.
