| On September 16, 1897 he married Mary Caroline Cargill on her fathers ranch in Middle Cold Springs, Oregon. Mary was born on January 17, 1876 in Gailsburg, Knox County, Illinois to David Elmer Cargill and Sarah Jane Wallace. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Alerie and Mary had four children. Their first child, Hazel Mae, was born on July 21, 1898 in Pendleton. Hazel will be 102 years old this July. Lewis Eugene McCulley was born on March 15, 1902 and died on April 2, 1903. He is buried in the Helix Cemetery in Helix, Oregon. Their third child (my grandfather) was born on March 30, 1905 in Pendleton. They named him Ralph Eugene. Their last child, Eleanor Lucille was born in 1916. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
