Ollie L. Branum Dies In Anniston

Rites At Buggs Chapel Tomorrow;

Was County Resident Most Of Life

 

Ollie Lee BRANUM, resident of the Buggs Chapel community most of his life, died at Memorial Hospital in Anniston last night at 10:30 o’clock and will be buried following service tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. from the Galilee Baptist Church at Buggs Chapel.

 

The Rev. Roy STONE will officiate and interment will be in Moon Cemetery at Owens Cross Roads, with Butler Brothers Funeral Home in charge.

 

Mr. Branum was born in the Buggs Chapel community and lived there until a few years ago, when he went to Anniston to live with his daughters.

 

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Henry BARLEW and Mrs. Charlie CARGILE of Birmingham, and Mrs. Alvie SMITH and Mrs. T. D. WOODS of Anniston; two brothers, Roy BRANUM and Wilburn BRANUM of Route 1, New Hope; two sisters, Mrs. Herman MAPLES and Mrs. George CRAFT of Owens Cross Roads; eight grandchildren.

 

Active pallbearers will be W. E. SELF, W. J. McMILLAN, Curtis MAPLES, Ted MAPLES, Erskine HUNT, Harry BARNARD.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be A. H. BUTLER, Dr. J. L. CARPENTER, Archie RUSSELL, Howard McKINNEY, Rev. Alonzo SHUBERT, Charlie ESSLINGER, Fayte ARTIS, W. D. STEVENS, and Jim BRAZELTON.
