Jas. N. Carpenter Killed in Wreck
Native of OXR Died Friday In
Collision In Springfield, Mass.
James Nolen CARPENTER, 27, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. CARPENTER of Owens Cross Roads, was killed late Friday in an automobile accident in Springfield, Mass.
Mr. Carpenter and his family had been living in Springfield for the past five years, since he was released from the Navy.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Beatrice CARPENTER, four children,
Jimmy CARPENTER, 8, Carl CARPENTER, 6, Sue Jean CARPENTER, 4, and Lee CARPENTER,
1; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. CARPENTER of Owens Cross Roads; two sisters,
Mrs. John BERRY of Huntsville and Mrs. Charles ARDIS of Springfield, Mass.;
four brothers, Harold B. CARPENTER of Huntsville, J. W. CARPENTER of
Birmingham, Max Joe CARPENTER and W. G. CARPENTER, both of Huntsville.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Springfield, Mass., and
the body will be shipped here for interment in the Moon Cemetery at Owens Cross
Roads.
The time for the graveside rites will be announced later.
