Died at Owens X Roads

Fred the only son, of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. SPIVEY, of Owens X Roads died last Sunday night at 11 o’clock, January 17, 1909, after a few days illness.

Almost 7 years he was with the affectionate parents and devoted sisters.  They watch with great interest the unfolding of the precious blossom of life and all was bright and promising, but alas death came, God took him to Himself, while they bow in submission to His will; his departure has left aching void this can never fill.

Little Albert was a bright boy, a favorite in the family.  His presence seemed a bundle of sunbeams, which filled their hearts with joy and gladness.  Their hearts are sorely wounded by his death, but they are glad to think little Fred is safe in the arms of Jesus, “for of such is the kingdom of Heaven”.

May the bereaved ones trust in Jesus for strength o help you bear the burden of sorrow till the day break and the shadow flee away.

The little remains were laid to rest in the family cemetery at Owens X Roads, after funeral services, conducted by Rev. IGOE Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock.
