Mrs. Hattie Myers

 

A funeral for Mrs. Hattie MYERS, 79, 2914 7th Ave. SW, was to be today at 2 p.m. at the West Huntsville Baptist Church, the Rev. Sam WOLFE and the Rev. M. E. GURLEY officiating.  Burial was to be in the Moon Cemetery with Laughlin-Service Funeral Home in charge.

 

Mrs. Myers died Sunday at the Huntsville Hospital after a long illness.

 

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bertha HUGHES, Mrs. Myrtle HUGHES and Mrs. Dorithy IKARD; two sons, Johnny MYERS of Owens Cross Roads, the Rev. Floyd MYERS of Harvest; three brothers, Dave BULLOCK of Gurley, James BULLOCK of Walter Hill, Tenn., and Barty BULLOCK of Gurley; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers were to be Charles ALLISON, Wilford LANDERS, James WHITE, Charles EAVES, Jimmy HOGAN, and Allen DORNING.

Isaac Myers

 

A funeral service for Isaac M. MYERS, 77, 2914 Seventh Ave., SW, was today at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles GWATHNEY and the Rev. Marion GURLEY officiating.

 

Burial followed in Moon Cemetery.  Mr. Myers died Tuesday at the Fifth Avenue General Hospital.  He was a retired Baptist Minister, having been in the ministry for 40 years.

 

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hattie MYERS; three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle HUGHES, Mrs. Bertha HUGHES and Mrs. Dorothy IKARD; three sons, the Rev. Floyd MYERS of Harvest and Johnnie MYERS of New Hope; a brother Flim MYERS of Elizabethtown, Ky.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

 

Active pallbearers were Hayden MARTIN, Homer MARTIN, Dave BULLOCK, Allen DARNING, Jeff BRIDGES and Albert H. WOODY.

 

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Ira D. THOMPSON, Dr. Pat HAMM, the Rev. R. C. O’REAR, Robert SANDERS, Homer WHITT, Robert BOYD, A. E. LANDERS and Sam HAMER.

 

Laughlin-Service Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
