Burns Cause Child To Die
Funeral Held Yesterday For Lucille Virginia Moon
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon for Lucille Virginia MOON, four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester MOON, who died at the Huntsville Hospital Friday night at 10:40 o’clock from burns received that afternoon.
The services were conducted from the, interment following there with Laughlin-McCaleb in charge of arrangements. The Rev. Ike MARS officiated.
According the information received here, the child was burned while playing with several other children near the home of Floyd HORNBUCKLE at Owens Cross Roads.
The children had built a stove in a playhouse and the Moon child’s clothing was ignited while standing near it. Her clothes had burned off when the mother arrived. The accident occurred between 3 and 4 o’clock, and the child was brought to the hospital around 4:30 o’clock.
In addition to the parents, she is survived by one brother, Edward MOON, at home. Mr. and Mrs. Moon are residents of Lowe Mill Village.
