BACKGROUND:

Aden ASHBURN was born about 1787 in Caswell Co. North Carolina and died about May 1815 in Madison County, Mississippi Territory. Louis (Lewis) ASHBURN, his brother, was ordered by the Court to be the Administrator of the Estate of Aden ASHBURN. Lewis ASHBURN was born about 1781 and married Elizabeth HAMLETT on December 5, 1797 in Caswell County, NC. They were the son's of Dabney Anderson ASHBURN.

Appraisement of the Estate of Doctor William Simpson on June 5, 1816 in Madison County, Mississippi Territory. Accounts on the books: William Webster; John Childress; William Furgerson; Robert Wright Sr.; Young GLOVER; William GLOVER; Young Ledbetter; William Ledbetter; & Thomas Moon, among others.

BACKGROUND:

William Simpson was born 1780 Londonderry, Ireland and died at Hobbs Island, Alabama. He had the following children. 1) Mary Simpson (born 1806 - died 1837 Talledega, AL) married George W. Mcleod 1822 in Madison County, AL. 2) John Simpson (born 1811 Ditto Landing - died 1876 in Madison County) married Margaret Ann Dickson (daughter of James Dickson & Keziah Wood) 1840 in Madison County.
