The photos in this index were

“Scotty” or James Burnett, his correct name.
He was a shepherd who was drowned while trying to cross the River Light
at Bakers Flat on 2 August 1846.
He was buried by his friends in an enclosure that also contains the
remains of another man named Carrol who died in 1844
