Further information

Published in the South Australian Government Gazette 12th July 1855

Immigration Office, Port Adelaide, July 6th 1855

The Hooghley arrived from Plymouth on the 19th day of April, bringing to the colony 250 souls.

She was commanded by Mr Henry R Rich, and Mr Robert Robertson was the surgeon-superintendent.

Fifteen deaths and seven births were the casualties at sea. This vessel also arrived in excellent order,

and the immigrants were generally well selected. Diarrhoea and bronchitis prevailed at the early part of

the voyage, caused by the severity of the weather in January.
