The Barque Vesta, 126 days from London arrived at the Lightship anchorage on Saturday last, the 25^th instant.

During the latter part of the voyage the Vesta experienced three very heavy gales, in one of these, occurring near

the longitude of the Cape, a clear sweep was made of the starboard bulwarks, many of the sails were split and

many spars carried away.

The Vesta spoke October 4 in lat. 32˚ 27´ S, long 1˚ 42´ 15´ E the Crown (laden with coal) from Sunderland,

bound to Aden
