Note on Husband: Richard + of GOZ

His ancestry is certainly Scandinavian . His father Thorstein Goz , Viscount, active between 1015 and 1040 , and his grandfather is deemed a Ansfridus Danus (Ansfroi Danish) .

The Duke William the Bastard (later the Conqueror) assigned by the Viscount of Avranches , before 1046 . For C. Warren Hollister, only after the fall of William Werlenc to 1055-56 Richard receives this territory . Richard may be then lord of Creully . He sees himself as entrusted with the castle of St. James de Beuvron , built by Duke William, shortly after the war against the Britons of 1064 .

Some lists, Richard Goz was among the companions of William the Conqueror at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 . It is not her young son Hugh who is the "Viscount Hugues" sending thirty ships join the fleet of William the Conqueror .

Between 1070 and 1079, Richard was involved in a decision between Raoul Tesson and the Fontenay Abbey . By 1076, it is one of the judges who pronounced a sentence against Robert Bertram .

Richard Goz died in 1082 .
