Sir Walter Devereux, 5th Viscount Hereford was born in 1578.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Devereux, 1st Bt. and Catherine Arden.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Baspole, daughter of Robert Baspole.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Knightley, daughter of Thomas Knightley, before 1615.1 He died before 5 January 1657/58.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Stafford in 1614.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Marlborough from 1621 to 1622.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Worcester from 1624 to 1625.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Worcestershire from 1624 to 1625.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Worcestershire from 1624 to 1625.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Viscount Hereford [E., 1550] on 14 September 1646.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Devereux, of Castle Bromwich, co. Warwick [E., 1611] on 14 September 1646.1
