Our Blended Family

Loghry, Thornton, Jorgenson, Johnson, Nielsen/Nelson, Roush/Rouse, and Affiliated Families

Welcome to my web site! Many hours of work have been put into the research and documentation of these ancestors. I hope you will benefit from the information I present here.

My research to discover my ancestors and those of my husband began in the late 1980s, and is a continuous project. This genealogy covers branches of both of our families, including, but not limited to the following surnames: Loghry, Axtell, Rummans, Jenkins, Gill, Thornton, Cook, Wright, Haworth, Jessen, Vold, Johnson, and Hansen.

The information on these pages is in a narrative format and does not include any information on those still living. Although I have included census information as it was recorded, it is important to keep in mind that information on the census was not always accurate, as a child, a family member not fluent in English, or even a neighbor may have given incorrect information about some members of a household. It was compiled with the help of many individuals.

The purpose of this Web site has been to prepare as complete a family tree as possible for our children and for future generations to come. Those I want to especially thank for their contributions are: Sparkle Loghry, his grandson Craig Davis, Joe Loghry, Wendy Bergerud, Jo Ann Loghry, Karen Sparks, Harold Loghry and his son "Topper," Bruce Friend, Linda Walker, Phillip Warren Loghry, and many more. I apologize if I've failed to list anyone who helped contribute. Sparkle Loghry devoted his life to researching the Loghry family. It is with thanks to Sparkle that many of us Loughry researchers got our start. One of Sparkle's references for the early family was "Stacy Jackson's History of Cameron Corners." Sparkle passed away and left his research in the very capable hands of his grandson Craig Davis who has continued and expanded Sparkle's research.

Although great care has been taken with the information presented, the accuracy is not guaranteed. These pages are a work in progress which are updated frequently, so be sure to visit again. Please feel free to contact me, using the link below, if you would like to comment or share new information, or let me know of needed corrections.
