He was engaged in hauling corn stalks from Levi Mackey's farm, in company with his grandson, a little boy, and when nearing his residence sent the little fellow on ahead to ascertain if any wagons were coming, as the road at this point was very narrow and it was a diffcult matter for two wagons to pass each other. When the boy returned he found his grandfather lying just in front of the horse, dead. His age was about 71 years. The funeral took place Sunday."1,2 Henry Widner deceased left an Inventory in November 1870 at Warren County, New Jersey.3
