SELLERSVILLE, PA (FORMERLY OF FRENCHTOWN, NJ) – Margaret Elizabeth Hillpot, 89, of Sellersville, PA, formerly of Frenchtown, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at The Community at Rockhill in West Rockhill Township, PA.
Born November 19, 1927 in Phillipsburg, NJ, Margaret lived most of her life in Frenchtown, NJ and spent winters in Ft. Myers, FL. Margaret was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and making afghans for her family. Most of all, Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a longtime, active member of the Frenchtown Baptist Church.
Daughter of the late Theodore H. and Margaret E. (Stocker) Cole, Margaret is survived by her two sons William H. Hillpot of Bethlehem, PA and Robert A. Hillpot of Pohatcong Township, NJ, her two daughters Patricia A. Senk of Manahawkin, NJ and Bonnie L. Becker of Green Lane, PA, her brother Theodore H. Cole of California, her sister Betty Jane Miller of Raubsville, PA, her eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Welling Stover Hillpot in 2010.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 12 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow at the Frenchtown Cemetery. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 11 AM-12 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community at Rockhill Benevolent Fund, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA 18960.
She was buried on 3 March 2017 at Frenchtown Cemetery, Frenchtown, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
