On all of the female lines which married into the Boothe family, I have tried to include just the parental generation (although I, in many cases, have more). Many people have shared with me as I have shared with them, but I have tried not to put the work of others on these web pages. Write me- Kenneth W. Boothe -if you think your family ties into the ones I have posted. The Ancestry of Permelia Tennessee "Tennie" NicholsPermelia Tennessee "Tennie" Nichols' father, ARCHIBALD NICHOLS, was born February 02, 1825 in Georgia? Alabama?, and died March 12, 1884 in Texas? He married (1) ADALINE SPARKS March 20, 1843 probably in Arkansas. He married (2) ELIZA JANE GOLDEN May 01, 1859 in Clark County, Arkansas (she was the daughter of one of the sons of Isaac Golden -- her parents apparently died before the 1850 census). Adaline Sparks was born December 15, 1826, probably in Arkansas, and died after the birth of a stillborn child, January 20, 1857, in either Texas or Arkansas. Eliza Jane Golden was born July 1, 1840, Arkansas, and died December 11, 1883, in Texas. Information on children taken mainly from the family Bible of Archibald and Eliza J. Nichols. This Bible is now the possession of the family of Ray Earl Boothe. Titus County, Texas, and back to ArkansasShortly before 1850, Archibald had moved his family (his first wife and their children) into Titus County, Texas. They didn't stay long (maybe Adaline died there) and soon returned to Arkansas (Clark County). Archibald Nichols was shown on the Clark County, Arkansas, delinquent tax lists for 1851 and 1854, and records show he bought land Section 34, Twp 7S, Range 22W, 160 acres on July 1, 1859. 1850, Titus Co., TX, census, p. 104: 145/145 A.
