Affidavit of Andrew Secrest testifying about where Andrew Jackson
was born Monroe, N. C. Sept 6th 1858

  I, Andrew Secrest, Senr. of Union County, N.C. aged Eighty three 
years do hereby substantially condorate that is stated by 
Mr. Thos. Winchester  above given & in addition state that
my father Jacob Secrest, Senr. lived at the old Andrew Jackson
place about eight years before Sampson Grey bought it of my father 
& I lived with my father at the time,my father was well acquainted
with the old Andrew Jackson, Senior whilst he lived on the above
place & I have often heard him speak of him.

	All of which is hereby certified to be correct.
