Clement Allen Dees son of Edmund Dees and Mary Whittington was born in 1795 in Johnston Co NC,he died June 23, 1875 age 81. Clement moved to Anson County NC by 1820. His wife Elizabeth was b 1805. It is believed that Clement had between 16-20 children. I have made contact with a number of descendents of Clements many children he appears to have passed on the genealogy bug.

Many of Clements descendents kept the spelling Dees    although some even in the same line from Briant Dees changed the spelling to Deese including my great grandfather John Robert "Bob" Deese who changed his in 1896 although his brother James Manford and his descendents continued with Dees.

 Clement and
Elizabeth are buried in the "Old Dees
Cemetery" located about 4 miles N.E. of Marshville, left of Marshville and
 Olive Branch Rd.

Clement appears to have died interstate and there were some filings in regards to his belongings.
